Hello, My Great Grandmother was From Zacatecas Her name was Felicitas Navarro, relative living in San Pedro Piedro Gorda was Victoriana De La Cruz, and Her mothers maiden name was Mariana de la Cruz, and Her fathers name was J Pas Navarro, Looking for any information or connection to Apache Blood line here in the San Pedro Piedra Gorda Estade De Zacatecas, Zac. also connection to Spainish blood line I believe the De La Cruz came from Spain, This name is showing up on the Jew Sephardic Web site, www.sephardim.com

Apache Indians in Zacatecas
As far as I know there were not Apaches as far south as Zacatecas. All of the ethnographic literature points to the relevant ethnic groups being:
- Zacatecas (after whom the state was named)
- Guachichiles (who were largely extinguished in the Chichimec wars and/or are current day Huicholes)
- Caxcanes (in Southern Zacatecas)
As far as trying to guess where a lineage came from solely based on a surname, I would suggest you not make any conclusions based on solely a surname. Often times surnames were "assigned" to slaves or indigenous people (e.g. lots of indigenous people around Jerez for example took the name Caldera in honor of Miguel Caldera whom they admired) and names such as de la Cruz were very commonly assigned to indigenous people by the clergy baptizing them.
Genealogy requires researching generation by generation, linking one generation to the next through concrete documentation. What are the approximate birth or marriage dates for Felicitas Navarro and Mariana de la Cruz?
PS In Iberian tradition countries, women don't change their names so there is no difference between a maiden and married name.

are you sure the guachichiles were extinguished? aren't there indgienous people (like the huichols) who descend from today? also miguel caldera himself was half guachichil.
