Hola primos! I'm a new member here, and I'm really excited to share my discoveries and learn from all of you. My name's Eduardo and I live in San Jose, California. I have been researching my family history for about 15 years, but I only just recently moved into my Mexican lines after discovering the fantastic indexes over at Familysearch.com.

I try to be very careful about what makes it into my tree. If I don't have solid support for something, I'll hold off until the evidence gets better.

I can speak/read/write both in English and Spanish. But I was raised in the U.S., so English comes to me more naturally. I'm one half Mexican. My mother is from Guadalajara and was the only one of 11 kids raised in her family to leave Mexico. Most of my aunts and uncles have died off, so I feel that my base, my connection with family and to the real Mexico is fading. I am sad about that. I wish it weren't so.

I'm a lawyer by training (but I don't practice law), so I tend to be precise, analytical, skeptical, etc. Anyway, I'll try to post relevant stuff and be helpful. Let me know if there is something I can do for you!

Oh, Joseph Puentes said I should put this link in my introduction: eduardo1966
(Did I do that right?)

Kind regards,

Eduardo Fisher

Welcome to the site where we share, learn and grow.

Have you posted your tree yet. My maternal lines lived in Tamazula, Ciudad Gusman and migrated to the U.S. in 1924.

Sellect the "Files" menu option at the top of the page, then select "Member Genealogy Files." Select your name from the list, then select the "Edit" tab, and it pretty self-explanatory from that point.

You can add some text and upload any files you wish.
